The Chaplain Foundation seeks to develop funding relationships with effective organizations named, “Community Partners”. One of the goals of The Chaplain Foundation is to fund uniquely effective and well-established organizations that are large enough to have sound management and financial systems to satisfy donor concerns, yet small enough to nurture local relationships with Chaplains and service members.
The founders of The Chaplain Foundation established the foundation with several operating principles in mind. These principles guide our decisions in selecting Community Partners and awarding funding opportunities.
STRENGTHENING AND SUPPORTING CHAPLAINS
The Chaplain Foundation is designed to strengthen and support United States military Chaplains spiritually, emotionally, and physically. The types of programs and Community Partners we wish to fund, and the way in which we wish to fund them, are specifically intended to help Chaplains build their own resilience and access the resources they need to better fulfill their missions and serve their soldiers.
COMMITMENT TO EXCELLENCE
The Foundation's funding partnerships seek to reflect The Chaplain Foundation’s commitment to quality and continuous improvement. We especially look for Community Partners representing creative and innovative means of supporting Chaplains and military service members and strive to remain flexible and opportunistic through a selection process based on integrity, grace and respect for the one who bears the cross on their uniform.
